Hi, I'm Harsh Yadav

With a vision for the future, I am currently working as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, where I am engaged in the development of underwater manipulation and haptic robotic systems. As a robotics enthusiast with a strong background in robotics, I am deeply passionate about advancing intelligent robotic systems, autonomous manipulation, and human–robot interaction technologies.

I recently completed my Bachelor’s of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Agartala. My research journey has been strongly centered around robotics, autonomous systems, manipulators, and aerial robots, where I have explored both theoretical and practical aspects of intelligent robotic systems.

Currently, I am working as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), contributing to the development of underwater manipulation and haptic robotic systems. My work focuses on advancing robotic perception, autonomous interaction, and intelligent control for complex environments.

My primary research interests include Visuo-tactile Perception and Multisensorial Fusion for robotic manipulators, Long-Horizon Task and Action Planning under Uncertainty, Autonomous Robotic Systems, Swarm Robotics, Human–Robot Interaction, and Intelligent Manipulation.

I am actively looking for research opportunities, collaborations, and graduate programs aligned with these research domains, with the long-term goal of contributing to next-generation intelligent robotic systems that can operate robustly in real-world environments.

e-Yantra: Engineering a better tomorrow 
In a team of three, we competed to navigate three holonomic drive robots using Gazebo (ROS) simulator localization. Our aim was to improve control realism, employing OpenCV for image processing and Aruco markers for robot localization. We also integrated inverse kinematics for finer control. This challenge showcased our expertise in robotics, image processing, and algorithm development, enhancing our skills in practical autonomous system applications.

Certifications

Through this ROS (Robot Operating System) course, I've acquired a comprehensive understanding of this foundational framework for robot software development. Exploring concepts like nodes, topics, messages, and services, I've gained practical experience in building and deploying ROS-based robotic systems. Hands-on labs have allowed me to interface ROS with actual hardware, facilitating control and manipulation of physical robots.

Overall, this course equipped us with essential skills in computational fluid dynamics and aerodynamic analysis, with practical applications in vehicle design and performance optimization using SimScale analysis.

Through comprehensive modules and hands-on projects, we learned essential concepts such as data manipulation, visualization, and analysis using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib. Additionally, the course provided a thorough introduction to machine learning algorithms and techniques, including regression, classification, and clustering.

MATLAB Onramp- (Learn the basics of MATLAB through this introductory tutorial on commonly used features and workflows) & Simulink Onramp- (basics of how to create, edit, and simulate models in Simulink. Use blockdiagrams to represent real-world systems and simulate components and algorithms)

Achievements

I've been chosen to participate in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Centre (AMTDC), a unique Center of Excellence in India backed by the Department of Heavy Industry. This center specializes in Machine Tools and Production Technology.

Selected as the distinguished recipient of the highly competitive IIT Mandi Summer Research Fellowship, outshining over 800 applicants, to embark on an impactful internship at IIT Mandi.




Top 3 in Electric Vehicle Design Workshop- Enabling the Ecosystem for E-mobility organized by International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) in association with MathWorks and Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited.

Securing the top spot among all IITs and NITs in Phase 1, we fabricated an electric ATV from scratch in our college's mechanical workshop and showcased it in the physical round.

It was an honor to be among the top five finalists in GIAN- THE INNOVATION CHALLENGE Amaethon and present our ideas at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
